Department
Robotics & Design
Turn a sketch into a moving machine — CAD, chassis, drivetrains and electronics.
The Robotics & Design department is where GENBOT's machines get their bodies. Members take a robot from concept through CAD, chassis design, drivetrain and electronics to a finished platform that responds to the real world.
What the department works on
- CAD modelling of chassis, mounts and assemblies.
- Drivetrain selection, gearing and wheel configuration.
- Mechanical design for impact — combat bots, rovers and humanoids.
- Electronics integration with the embedded systems team.
Skills you build
CAD, mechanical analysis, material choices, drivetrain tuning and design-for-assembly — the fundamentals behind almost every robotics project for engineering students.
Projects under this department
- NexBot — the flagship AI humanoid's modular mechanical architecture.
- PathFinder — the autonomous rover's chassis and drivetrain.
- Smart Arena Bot — hardened combat chassis and tuned drivetrain.
