About
The student robotics club at IARE Hyderabad
GENBOT is where engineering students design, code and build intelligent machines — from AI-driven humanoids to autonomous rovers and computer-vision drones.
GENBOT Robotics Club is the student-run robotics club at the Institute of Aeronautical Engineering (IARE), Hyderabad, Telangana. We prototype, break things, fix them and ship machines that actually work — from CAD sketches to silicon to full autonomy.
What the club does
GENBOT is organized around the four disciplines of modern robotics that members can plug into from their first week:
- Robotics & Mechanical Design — concept, CAD, chassis, drivetrains and electronics assembly.
- AI & Machine Learning — gesture recognition, reinforcement learning and on-device inference.
- Embedded Systems — Arduino, ESP32 and real-time microcontrollers with sensors and actuators.
- Computer Vision — object tracking, aerial mapping and edge processing.
How members work
GENBOT is open to every branch and every skill level. Members join real project teams with real hardware, attend weekly hands-on build sessions and workshops, and contribute to hackathons, showcases and competitions during the academic year.
Why it exists
GENBOT exists to give engineering students a bench, a team and a path from theory to working hardware. Whether you want to train the next model or tune your first drivetrain, there is a project team for you. Explore our projects or apply to join.
The team
Students steering GENBOT
From the board changing leadership to department representatives in every engineering branch, GENBOT is run by students who build too.
