Events & Workshops
GENBOT runs 12+ events a year — from weekly build sessions to hackathons and national competitions.
Everything at GENBOT is hands-on. Here's how the club's calendar works through the academic year at IARE, Hyderabad.
Weekly build sessions
Members meet weekly to build. Project teams use these sessions to prototype, solder, flash and test — this is where most of the work on NexBot, PathFinder and DroneX actually happens.
Workshops
Semester workshops cover the club's core disciplines hands-on: robotics & design, AI & machine learning, embedded systems and computer vision. Workshops are open to students from every branch, not just members.
Hackathons & showcases
GENBOT members build under time pressure at hackathons and demo their machines at club showcases. These are the moments where a project goes from a bench to a stage.
Competitions
The club competes in national-level robotics competitions, and combat robots like Smart Arena Bot are built specifically for robot wars arenas.
